Voting for “the lesser of two evils” seems to become the mantra for every election. What is amazing to me is that no one voting in the two-party system seems to find this statement to be insane. If the lesser of two evils were defined as being killed or being stabbed, would you choose either or would you walk away from it?
I think a sane person would walk away. When your life or country is threatened by the two-party system that uses this motto, why would you choose either? I don’t tell people to walk away on election day, but most likely the ballot in front of you gives you other options. Even if you aren’t familiar with the other options, what do you have to lose? Why settle with less when you might find or research the options that benefit you. No one in the USA walks into a car dealership and buys the only car offered by the dealership.
